Ambition Jumbo Steel String Guitar Walnut – Rosewood Free

This Rosewood-free all-solid Jumbo steel string guitar is completely made of Indian Walnut and has a 12th fret transition. It is thereby and by the combination of body shape and woods particularly designed for fingerpicking or flatpicking. It is especially suitable for any kind of blues performances and lovers of good old-timey music.

The here presented steel string guitar Ambition Jumbo is in many ways something very special.

Rosewood Free

Indian Rosewood, flatly placed under endangered species protection , always causes problems when travelling. This Jumbo does not use Rosewood at all, making it very well suited for guitarists who cross the borders more often.

Solid Walnut

Not only back and sides, but also the top is made of Indian Walnut. This is a very even-grained wood, which visually has a fairly similar structure to Mahogany, but it is significantly harder and comes from the sound quality rather close to Rosewood.

While most of our customers have a pretty specific sound idea, with this guitar we were dealing with a customer who has a soft spot for jumbos and had fallen so in love with the beautiful wood that he simply wanted the whole body made out of it. This was a good match because he also wanted the guitar to sound different from his other jumbos, and Indian Walnut was a great way to do that. From the combinations Rosewood/Cedar, Rosewood/Spruce and Mahogany/Spruce which the customer already owned, this Jumbo can definitely stand out.

12 fret Sound

Sound-wise, Indian Walnut convinces with its focus on the midrange spectrum. The selectivity is a bit less pronounced, which makes it come across more warm and round than Rosewood or Mahogany. The jumbo shape adds a real boom in the low-mid range. These qualities and the response make it perfect for fingerpicking or flatpicking. As a 12 fret guitar, it is completely happy when you play blues on it. Then it presents itself from its best side.

Visually, the Ambition Jumbo is also a stunner. The medium brown wood is accentuated by the rosette, bindings, bridge and the pickguard made of Ebony.
