High Quality Ukulele for Demanding Players
Baritone ukulele Papageno shines with very quick response and a wide frequency range. This allows it to be used as a solo instrument as well as for orchestra and band. To the confident and powerful sound mango adds a fresh touch.
Wood and Features
This baritone ukulele is made of solid Mango wood with Engelmann Spruce top and Spanish Cedar neck. The top and back are enframed by bindings made of Laurel, an excellent substitute for Indian Rosewood. The ornate rosette is made of Maple, Mango and Ebony. For this ukulele we have taken care not to use any Rosewood at all, in order to make it as "travel safe" as possible. Models made of purely local woods are also available on request.
Handling/Playability
With a scale length of 508 mm and corresponding body size, Papageno perfectly meets the requirements of a baritone ukulele. The tuning allows guitarists to expand their instrument palette by an unusual sound variant without any reorientation. Fast response and dynamic tone development offer a wide range of applications.
Sound
With the help of a body shape specially adapted to the baritone requirements and a sophisticated interior construction, we created a powerful, voluminous and well-balanced euphony that rounds off the sound spectrum of our ukulele series in the lower frequency range in an excellent way. Papageno is therefore also well suited for solo use. Where the baritone construction conjures up tonal density and assertiveness, the Mango wood simultaneously adds a light, fresh note.
