Classic Oktav

classical octave guitar rosewood spruce luthier christian stoll
Description

Classic Oktav is a typical octave guitar. It is played in the traditional guitar- or mixed folk-ensemble.

Scale length is 40 cm, the depth of the sides was adjusted according to the body size. It has 18 frets, the neck-body junction is on 10th fret. The nut width of 50 mm provides optimal playability and can be varied at no extra cost.

The comfortable flat shaped neck, the elaborate mounting of the top by means of single woodblocks, tasteful bindings and the silk-gloss finish are features that have been adopted by the Classic Line I. Being a premium model, it has a spanish neck.

This little masterpiece is tuned one octave higher than a standard guitar. It produces a silvery, intense sound, reminiscent of a mixture of mandolin and ukulele with good assertiveness in the orchestra.
